Who knows the plight of soldiers

Who feels the pain they feel

Who carries the weight of lonely days

That only darkness heals

O’ God of light O’ God of hope

Into our lives please come

Teach us how to give up thanks

For those who darkness comes

Their days of thunder over

The nights of quiet come

Into your grace our soldiers march

A nations sorrow begun

O’ come O’ child  and wife of man,

Who’s duty has been done

You who take the soldiers staff,

His burden and his gun

We praise you now, for ever more

Your service and your stead

A woman mourns, a child weeps

Across this land of ours

A quiet thought pervades the land

In which our soldiers sleep

A Nations Honor

A tribute to those who serve

O’ God of peace, please hear our prayer,

And quell the restless nights

Of those who wait for those who lost,

The fabric of their lives

For those who pay the price of peace,

Know the cost too well

That others may have liberty,

They felt the pain of hell

O’ God of joy, please hear our cry,

And help this nation rise

To enjoy the fruits of liberty

To make our people wise

Your blessings we do owe to those,

Who's courage has been tested

We honor them from now through time

Our soldiers strife now rested
