The policy of Abilene Computer Service is to protect the privacy of our customers and their personal information while providing a valuable On-Line & in-store experience.

In order to provide customers with a more personalized, relevant, and intelligent service, we regularly make improvements to our web site.  Certain services accessed through this web site require that personal information be shared with us or our partners in order to activate the requested service or fulfill a purchase.  For instance; by requesting Domain Name registration services, you give Abilene Computer Service permission to transfer your personal information to the sponsor so they can fulfill your request. Only the information required to fulfill your request will be shared. 

What is collected and how it is used
Credit Card Account information is collected and shared with our merchant account processor for the purpose of identifying and qualify you as the owner of the credit card being used to conduct a purchase through our store.  Your credit card account numbers are stored in our accounting program, and are used for purchase fulfillment purposes only.  When your account number is no longer required (Transaction is completed) all records containing your unencrypted account number are destroyed (our accounting software maintains an encrypted record of your credit card number with only the last 4 numbers or your account number visible for payment received records only.  It is never viewable in complete form again).  Your credit card number is NEVER viewed by anyone not having a need to know (The person entering your order and payment is the only person with a need to know.).

Upon initiating a purchase, Abilene Computer Service will also ask a user to enter certain personally identifying information such as Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code and Country, email address, and Phone Number. This information will be retained by us to maintain your account with us or to fulfill any purchase you make with us.  Your email address is requested so that we may communicate details of your order with you.  We do not provide personal information to our suppliers beyond that which is necessary for them to conduct their business with us or you, for instance we will provide your name and address, email, and phone number to the InterNic (Required by Federal Law) in order for you to register a new Domain Name.

We do not use your personal information to send you unsolicited email or telephone solicitations However, we may from time to time use your street address to send you regular US Postal Service (Snail) mail.  We do not sell our customer data to anyone.

Users should be aware that links to Web sites not controlled by Abilene Computer Service (and therefore not subject to this privacy agreement) may be contained within this site. Users should check the privacy policy of these individual sites to see how the data collected by these sites will be utilized . Please be aware that Abilene Computer Service, as well as other web sites, may use cookies. "Cookies" are pieces of information that a Web site transfers to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purpose and to enhance a visitor's site experience. The use of cookies has become an industry standard and are used by most major Web sites. We primarily use cookies in our shopping cart to temporarily hold your purchase selections until such time as you decide to either purchase the items or remove them from your cart, and they automatically expire within 5 days in any case.  You may "Opt-Out" of our use of cookies by turning off support for them in your browser.  Non-use of cookies will not affect the use of our site.  However, doing so will prevent us from adding personal touches to your web visit with us.

Abilene Computer Service, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, does not allow children under 16 to signup for Web Hosting, Domain Name Registration or Purchase products through our on-line store. Abilene Computer Service is available only for children age 16 and older and our adult customers. Abilene Computer Service also notifies parents and other legal guardians of children of the following important information:

Parents are encouraged to spend time online with their children to become familiar with the types of content available through Abilene Computer Service, and over the Internet in general, and to regularly oversee their children's use of email and other online facilities.
